Claire Shapiro, of counsel to the firm, has counseled aviation and motor carrier industry clients in a broad range of commercial transactions, administrative proceedings, and civil litigation for over 20 years. In addition to representation of firms in federal court litigation, typical matters handled recently include representing pilots and airlines subject to investigative or enforcement proceedings, advising air carriers on their rights and obligations under treaties and alliances, the Federal Aviation Regulations, and the antitrust laws, and analyzing proposed regulatory changes and preparing comments for submission in numerous rulemaking proceedings.
Ms. Shapiro graduated with honors from the University of Michigan in 1975 and received her law degree, cum laude, in 1980 from Georgetown University Law School. Ms. Shapiro is admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia.
